The Magic of Dragonflies

Last month, I bought some plastic and colorful dragonfly clips, which are actually for plants, but I plant to use it as a form of fashion accessory. I had bought these at an orchid show by an art reception that I attended. Later, I started to think about the symbolism for dragonfly. 

 Dragonfly is similar to butterfly because they both have to do with change. And, lots of things going on around me have been trying to encourage me to change in some way in order to move on. I have noticed some kind of changing happening around me, such as businesses closing down, people moving away, or I am losing interested in events that I once enjoyed. Maybe these are all signals that it is time to move on to other areas, or at least the next chapter in my life, in which I am not actually sure what it is yet.

I like this video because it also is about living in the present moment, and meditating about a deeper meaning of life. I think that I suddenly stumbled upon these dragonfly clips to remind me that I understand that life isn’t what it appears to be, but it has a much deeper meaning. It is covered up by all kinds of dark and twisted shit in order to make it appear differently.

Sheer fabric is still popular for this autumn, but consider adding some extra details to make your outfit ornate and stylish. Some ideas might include ruffles, brooch, lacy items, gemmed drop earrings, gemmed cuff, and gemmed bracelet. But such jewelry tends to be statement pieces. So, don’t overdo it with your outfit. And, remember, that ornate items would look great with a simple and basic outfit. 

1.       Consider a clutch with fake fur and gems.

2.       Consider knee-high boots that lace-up to the top, which is similar to the Goth style boots. Over-the-knee boots are also popular.

Warning: These items are cute and fun from first glance, especially if you know how to coordinate fashions and colors, but if you overdo it or wear too much black and white, or even wear it in a Goth way, then you will turn into an Illuminati Princess promoting the dark side. It is all about your perspective and how you see things, whether in a fun, cute and fashion way, or in a dark, twisted and warped way.

When it comes to wearing jewelry, sexy people tend to overdo it, and wear many bangles on both wrists as well as lots of necklaces, which actually still works for the bohemian look this autumn season. But fake tattoos and clip-on piercings are the new jewelry. Henna tattoos and lots of interesting rub-on tattoos can be just as fun and interesting. These body art tattoos and clip-on piercings can add a new dimension and personality to your outfits, bringing out your sexy, wild and edgy side, which is also popular for this autumn season. 

Sexy people often wear lots of makeup, perfume and skincare products, and I feel that this is even more important as you age because one’s skin changes. Since I have been wearing makeup since my teen years, I feel I am an expert at makeup and skincare by now because of all the different ideas that I have sampled with over the years since the eighties. 

Create a fashion art show, whether putting your own art show of your own fashion pieces that look like art sculptures, or making your own fashion artwork and displaying it in a video, on a website, or on your own walls. I might consider doing something like this because I like drawing fashion drawings as well as I have many surreal mannequin photographs that I can display in my own art gallery. But I might also go through my wardrobe and take snapshot of certain creative fashion pieces to display in an internet gallery or art gallery video. 

Simple meals are the best, and I often go for soup and grilled cheese sandwich as well as a glass of smoothie. For dessert, I might enjoy a snow cone or shaved ice treat.

Therefore, Simplicity is the New Sexy.
